March 15th Trailday report

WMBC - Save the Trails!

Tools of the trade.

We had a great crew of 32 folks out on Saturday with the goals of getting the upper mountain trails re-opened after the timber crews had finished.  Please remember that they’ve not hauled the logs off this area because of the soft roads, so we are asking riders to stay off the 3000 road during weekdays ’til 3:30.

This flagging is what keeps the Janicki crews from destroying the trails.

Trails that saw a bunch of work on Saturday:  Evolution, Scorpion, U Line, PT and the Upper Whoopsie Woodle.  They are all rideable, but we are asking for riders to stay off the fresh dirt for a few days to help it firm up and settle….especially with how wet it was on Sunday.

Head’s up:  Upper Whoopsie Woodle got a ton of work, but the lower section of the Woodle and Prison Love will need to be reconnected still.  More on that to come, but folks will be working on them this week.

Thanks to Chris Grundberg for the photos!
