The poor snowpack this year has altered the traditional Ski to Sea course and guess what? There’s a mountain bike leg now! This new section is the last leg of the race and starts in Marine Park. Riders would use the interurban trail to get into the Chuckanuts where they would then climb single track and come down gravel road back to downtown Fairhaven via the Hundred Acre Wood. There’s a large need for volunteers to help set up the course and course marshal. If you’re around on Memorial Day weekend (May 23rd and 24th) please help make this event happen!
This is the link for volunteer registration. The 2nd mountain bike leg is not an option yet on their site so you need to type it into the comment box. http://www.skitosea.com/volunteer
